| The facility raises such species as channel catfish, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, tiger muskie, lake trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass and various others. For some species, staff collects broodstock from area lakes. Bluegill sunfish are raised to supply to children's fishing derbies, and gambusia, or "mosquitofish," are raised to supply to county mosquito control commissions. | |

| "Our League was formed in December of 1937 and incorporated in January of 1958 as a non-profit organization. We always have a variety of dogs and cat in our care. We are not a shelter but a no kill rescue group. We take dogs out of the pounds. Age is not a factor in our rescue. We find homes for all our animals no matter how long it takes." |
