The Hackettstown Recreation Commission was established by ordinance in 1948 by the Town Council. The Commission is comprised of seven members, which are appointed by the Mayor for a five year term. The Commission is responsible for planning, organizing and administrating our comprehensive recreational services. Their meeting is the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:45 pm in the Community Center.
All resident tax payers are welcome to attend and participate and suggestions are encouraged.

There are three areas of programming in our Department.

First is "Active" which are various sports programs listed on this web page. Second is "Non-Active", which are programs at the Community and Senior Centers. Third is "Pool Complex", which is a separate, self-supporting facility. This third area, the Pool Complex, is available to resident tax-payers and non-resident tax-payers. Pool information is also available on this page.

Any questions will be answered by Nelson Hoyt at the Recreation Office located in the Community Center.
