A Message from Mayor Maria DiGiovanni:

Hello and Happy Fall.  It is hard to believe summer has come and gone.  I hope you were able to enjoy some relaxation during the beautiful summer months.

Hackettstown Public Schools begin again on September 3, 2019.  Welcome back students; may you have a wonderful and successful 2019-2020 school year!

This year, for the first time in Hackettstown’s history; the elementary schools will begin grade -  based schools.  One of the results of this change will be the need for busing students across Town.  Please be cognizant of this change; as we will now have students on buses, walking and privately driven to school.

The fall months bring many events into the Town of Hackettstown.  The fall Street Fair held along Main Street is on September 15th from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.  This event offers a little bit of something for everyone.
The Autumn Lamplight Dinner, on September 16th is a great way to enjoy the food of our many restaurants while dining with friends and family under the stars!  This event is not to be missed!
Octoberfest in Hackettstown runs from September 27th – September 29th.  There will be activities and contests, music, drinks and food, hosted by our local brewing companies and restaurants.  Please visit the Hackettstown BID website for full details of any of these events.

So, as you can see; there is much to do in Hackettstown this fall.  I hope to see you at one of these great events.

Thank you for residing in the Town of Hackettstown; I also sincerely thank you for your continued support and trust you have placed in me; it is truly an honor to be Mayor.  As always, I welcome your input into our Town; I can be reached via email,,  or at 908-852-3130.

Very truly yours,

Maria DiGiovanni
Mayor, Town of Hackettstown
