AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 13-8, SCHEDULE II
OF THE GENERAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF HACKETTSTOWN
TO ADD VARIOUS STREETS IN THE AREA OF THE HIGH SCHOOL TO THE AREAS WITH LIMITED PARKING HOURS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council have been approached and
petitioned by residents in the area of the High School, particularly on Mitchell Road and James Court about safety and health concerns caused by large numbers of students parking in the Kenwood Village section of Hackettstown; and
WHEREAS, the High School attempted to get the students to modify their
parking behavior, but was unsuccessful; and
WHEREAS, parking restrictions are necessary to maintain the quality of life
of the residential neighborhood.
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Common Council of the
Town of Hackettstown as follows:
Section One: Section 13-8, Schedule II, is amended to delete the following streets from the areas established as prohibiting parking during certain streets:

Section Three: This Ordinance shall take effect upon the publication of notice of final adoption as provided by law
NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the aforesaid Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the Town of Hackettstown, New Jersey, held on August 10, 2009 and that at a regular meeting of the same to be held on September 14, 2009 at the Municipal Building, 215 Stiger Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock in the evening, the said Common Council will consider the final passage of said Ordinance.
