The Hackettstown Recreation Commission was established by ordinance in 1948 by the Town Council. The Commission is comprised of seven member, which are appointed by the Mayor for a five year term.
The Commission is responsible for planning, organizing and administering our comprehensive recreational services. Their meetings are the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:45 pm in the
Community Center. All resident tax payers are welcome to attend and participate. Suggestions are encouraged.
There are three areas of programming in our Department:
First is "Active", which are various sports programs listed on this web page. Second is "Non-Active", which are programs at the Community and Senior Centers. Third is "Pool Complex", which is a
separate, self supporting facility. The third area, the pool complex, is available to resident tax payers and non resident tax payers. Pool information is also available on this page.
