Municipal Tax Assessor OfficeThe Hackettstown Tax Assessor’s office helps property owners and prospective buyers understand the assessed value, tax rate and ratio pertaining to specific locations. The assessed value of property is determined in order to fairly distribute the tax burden throughout the municipality. We also offer assistance in researching tax assessment records, by appointment. Bernard Murdoch Linda J. Baylor A 200' list is available through the Assessor's Office. To request a list you must do so in writing. Each property is treated as it's own list. Example: Block 127 Lots 7 & 8 are considered 2 lists. A fee of $10.00 must be included with each request. Please make checks payable to The Town Of Hackettstown. No faxes accepted.
