Keep Your Pet Safe — Don’t Let Them Roam!
Every year, countless dogs go missing after slipping out of yards, off leashes, or through open doors. When a pet gets loose, the risks are serious and can lead to heartbreaking outcomes.
Here’s what can happen when a dog gets out:
Traffic danger: Loose dogs can dart into the road unexpectedly, putting themselves and drivers in danger.
Predators and larger animals: Small dogs are especially vulnerable — even a brief encounter with a larger animal can turn deadly.
Exposure and injury: Lost pets can become disoriented, injured, or sick from exposure to weather, lack of food, or exhaustion.
Unidentified and unlicensed dogs: Without a visible ID tag or valid license, it’s much harder for animal control or good Samaritans to reunite a found pet with its owner.
Protect your pet — and your peace of mind: Always keep your dog on a leash or in a securely fenced area.
Make sure your pet’s license is up to date and worn on their collar at all times.
Consider a microchip as an added layer of protection.
Double-check gates, doors, and screens to prevent escapes.
A few simple precautions can make all the difference. Our pets depend on us to keep them safe — let’s make sure they never end up lost, injured, or worse.
