A zoning permit must be obtained prior to the issuance of construction permits for the following work:
Accessory Structures (Sheds, Garages, etc.)
Additions
Decks
Fences
Generators
New Buildings (Residential and Commercial)
Solar
Signs
Swimming Pools (Both In-Ground and Above-Ground)
Tenant Fit-Outs

All commercial buildings, additions, and fit-out applications must be submitted with two sets of sealed architectural drawings. A licensed electrician and plumber must seal all commercial permit applications.
For new residential buildings/additions, there is a requirement for two sets of sealed architectural drawings. A homeowner may submit their own drawings. However, all pertinent code information must be included.
