Town of Hackettstown Construction Department Special Notice

Pools: Above Ground / Inground & Portable

There has been an increase in calls for information whether an above ground, inground, spa/hot tub, or portable pool needs permits. Be advised any pool/spa that can contain twenty-four inches of water must have permits and must be installed according to Code.

These permits include the following:

• Zoning Permit 
• Construction Permit Application (PDF)
• Building Subcode Permit Application (PDF)
• Electrical Permit Application (PDF), along with a grounding diagram (PDF)
