Records Department

Our records department consist of 1 Full-time and 1 Part-time Record clerks. They are responsible for the distribution of reports, telephone calls, logging of records, discovery requests and all other daily office needs of the police department.

Traffic Crash Reports

Please allow 7-10 business days for crash reports to be completed. No information will be released prior to the completion and approval of the officer's report.

Crash reports can be downloaded via CRASHDOCS or obtained at HPD. To obtain a crash report at HPD, contact the Records Office during their business hours at 908-852-3302. 

Investigation / Operations / Arrest Reports 

Reports may be picked up at the Hackettstown Police Department from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Please allow 7 working days for reports to be processed.

If possible, give us a call at (908) 852-3302 before heading to HPD to make sure the report is completed and approved for distribution.
